Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled QC Automation Engineer to join our Quality Control team. This role is fully dedicated to automation, with a strong foundation in manual testing (including API testing) required. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Cypress, while also applying strong manual testing skills to ensure end-to-end quality. 
 
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 
Experience
  •   Minimum 2 years in software testing, with at least 2 years of solid, hands-on manual testing experience covering functional, regression, and API testing. 
  • At least 1–2 years of proven automation experience using Cypress, including building frameworks from scratch, writing maintainable test suites, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines. 
Technical Skills
  •   Proficiency in JavaScript (required for Cypress automation). 
  •   Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and writing automated API tests. 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated test execution. 
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes. 
  • Understanding of responsive design testing for web applications. 
Soft Skills
  •   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  •   Attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  •   Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. 
  •   Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Cypress for functional, regression, and integration testing. 
  • Build automation frameworks and reusable libraries for scalable test automation. 
  • Automate API test cases and integrate them into test pipelines. 
  • Leverage AI-powered coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test automation development and improve script quality. 
  • Perform manual testing when required to validate new features or bug fixes. 
  • Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools to validate backend functionality. 
  • Identify, log, and track defects in the bug tracking system (e.g., Jira). 
  • Participate in requirement reviews, providing testability feedback. 
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QCs to ensure comprehensive coverage. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools. 
  • Maintain up-to-date test documentation, including automation coverage reports. 
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous validation. 
  • Monitor test execution results, analyze failures, and report findings with root cause analysis.
